Transforming India

In other
words - mother and
motherland are superior even to heaven! These are not just words, but the
purpose of life for many who love their motherland. However, there are many
ways of expressing love and respect for the motherland and is manifested by
various ways. That’s why we shouldn’t misread the lines or in a haste to come
to any conclusions on certain views, otherwise it will create unnecessary confusions
in society. India is a land of spirituality and undoubtedly, it has the power
to enlighten the entire world by honoring all beliefs and thoughts.
Every Indian citizen cherishes a dream for the
country which is directly or indirectly influenced by the policies of
governments – the impact is positive when policies are synchronized and is negative
when policies go wrong in fulfilling numerous such dreams. When citizens strive
for a united common dream then the country achieves the unmatched greatness. A
good leader can sense the pulses of common people and ensures government
policies in synchronization with the common dreams. I’m not an exception and too
living with a commoner’s dream to see our country amongst the league of
accomplished countries with a universal knowledge society to lead the global
order. It is certain that any changes in the government policies will also have
an impact on our dreams and aspirations for the motherland. To have aspirations
or dreams for the country should always be appreciated and the role of the policy
makers is to convert such dreams into reality and develop policies after analyzing
how such a policy may influence the livelihood of the citizens. Especially,
many advanced countries have achieved their developmental goals but
unfortunately most of them are entangled with unending conflicts causing
uncertainties of the very existence of the human race. The root cause of such
conflicts are the establishment of supremacy over another which is eventually taking
a dangerous turn. Will it be wise to add another name into the league of those
countries pursuing the falsified philosophy of superiority? In contrast,
ancient Indian philosophy prescribes peaceful co-existence and respect for all
It translates into ‘om, let all creatures be
happy, may all be free from Illness. May all see what is auspicious, may no one
suffer from illness. Om peace, peace, peace”. It’s, therefore, important to
analyze and understand the changes happening around us from a larger
perspective, rather than confining us within a narrow circle of conventional
thoughts. India is currently undergoing a tremendous transformation but without
any chaos, thanks to our strong foundation that prescribes prosperity with peace
and honesty. Instead of analyzing the nitty-gritty of contradictory views, it’s
important to be upright in expressing the individualistic viewpoints which don’t
necessarily resonate with the propagandists. The year 2014 was no exception
when we witnessed a paradigm shift in policies when people gave a massive
mandate for a change and a new government was formed. Was it a mere political
regime change or an ideological shift that was subdued over the years? What way
it will define the future of India or the world? Whether we have achieved the desired
change? These are the questions that may be lingering on every Indian. My next
book will be an attempt to answer some of those questions! Till it is published,
try to find your own answers.
