Humanity in the AI and the stone age!

The mythological war between lord Rama representing good forces and Ravana representing evil forces in epic Ramayana took place because of the kidnapping of mother Sita, the wife of Rama. Another mythological war in epic Mahabharata took place because of disrespecting the modesty of a woman. These mythological stories are known to us since time known thanks to the ancient, learned society who knew the script. The history of mankind prior to that time frame is not known to us. There is no verifiable information available, except the imaginary depictions of human life. If scientific theories are to be believed, people probably passed through the stone age.

One can easily imagine what might be the lifestyle of people at that time span. A situation where people were mostly busy in searching for food for their survival and finding partners for reproduction to fulfill the biological needs. They might have lived in groups to protect from enemies, mostly wild animals. However, they had no resources to protect themselves from natural calamities like floods, thunderstorm or diseases except relying on self-healing. One group might have fought with another group to establish the superiority over the other or for food or for partners of opposite sex. It can be assumed that they were naked at that time since they were not capable enough. As we observe in the animal world even today, they might have protected their female partners from opposite groups and followed certain basic rules of survival. Their lives were mostly uncertain on various counts. 

Now come back to the real world, the ultramodern age of artificial intelligence (AI). We are now living in a more sophisticated world like never before. Wait, take a break and think for a moment! Our lives are becoming increasingly uncertain because of newer diseases, unpredictability of war outbreaks, natural calamities arising out of climate change, fight for establishing superiority or imposing a particular belief. We have witnessed countries fighting to expand their geographical boundaries for no justifiable reason by killing thousands of innocent people. The only difference is that earlier weapons were made from stones with only a single target, today we have missiles that can kill millions with multiple targets. People are being tortured beyond imagination. Women are increasingly becoming the soft targets and they are now insecure even at their own homes due to the evil instinct of their male counterparts. There are numerous examples where women are harassed and lack of respect for the modesty of women. Where is the humanity when women are being paraded naked, raped in front of their kids, and pregnant women are killed after removing their clothes? Have we learned any lessons from ancient human civilizations? Which direction are we moving? Are we not trying to justify our acts of inhumanity in the name of religion? There are justified reasons to believe that human achievements are farcical in the absence of human values. Are we not still in the stone age in that matter, or even the worse?
